Meditation Mantras for Beginners

There are a number of different meditation mantras that beginners could in their meditation practice.  For beginners, the best meditation techniques are the simple ones and there are some meditation mantras that can be used for this characteristic.

Mantras for meditation are widely used by a lot of people all over the world.  It is a common technique used when practicing meditation.  Meditation helps the mind and body achieve a sense of tranquility, balance, and oneness.  Not only that, meditation brings numerous health benefits to the person meditating.

For beginners, mastering meditation takes time , dedication and a lot of practice.  One really has to focus both on maintaining a consistent practice and whilst during their meditation practice to be able to reap the benefits of meditation.

As mentioned above, one of the techniques beginners can use are chanting mantras.  With the right mantra, this can be simple, easy, and can really help you develop your meditation practice.

One such mantra that beginners could use is the classic “OM”.  Om is simple, mono-syllabic, and represents the sound of the universe.  Chanting Om purifies and clears out the negativity that can remain stored in the body.  It also increases your focus for every sound you utter.

Aside from OM, “So Hum” is also a good mantra for beginners.  It clears away the negative thoughts in your mind.

Such mantras can increase calmness and also achieve oneness with the divine.  The good thing about these mantras   for beginners is that they are simple and easy to practice with only having 1-2 syllables.  The mind and body are more easily focused as they can focus on the sound rather than a complicated technique.

You can even chant these mantras with mala beads to help you be more attuned with your mediation practice and this can increase your concentration.  These mantras will focus your mind and develop your muscles of concentration which is really necessary for beginners starting out with meditation.
